Heel Pain

Heel pain is a common presentation to Dr O’Sullivan’s clinic. The most common cause of heel pain is plantar fasciitis which sees patients have sharp pain when they first stand on their foot whether it is in the morning or whether resting up during the day. Conservative treatment usually cures the patient and is a combination of stretches, anti-inflammatories, cortisone injection and supportive walking shoes. If conservative measure fails then Dr O’Sullivan does perform a percutaneous endoscopic plantar fascia release.
